Who Am I?

Hi! I’m Megan, a freelance illustrator and small business owner with a bachelor degree in Animation.

My main areas of interest are illustration, comics, visual development and pre-production animation. However, a lot of my more recent projects are heavily community-focused.

I’ve had experience working on two short animation projects, one of which I Art directed. I completed storyboards, layouts, visual development, character sheets, prop sheets, background art, and EPK elements including the logo, banner and a poster.

I have also independently completed a graphic novel under contract for a client.

Assisting the coordination of a local convention has been my biggest project recently. As secretary and art vendor coordinator, my main role was primarily administrational, however, I also assisted in several other areas, including the creation of the Logo and marketing assets.

When I get some free time, I love to branch out into adjacent art forms like crochet, fibre arts, puppetry, puppet-building, sewing and cosplay!

I am especially inspired by Jim Henson as a visionary and how I can apply the same creativity, imagination and playfulness into my work in a meaningful way, as he did.
